What the Mass Readings Mean and How to Live Them: October–November 2021
Each Sunday Mass has four Scriptural readings. What do they mean to us as individual Catholics trying to live our lives in faith? During October and November, the Adult Faith Enrichment Committee is sponsoring a new program about the Mass readings. For each session, a member of the parish will choose one of the readings, read it aloud, reflect on its meaning to them, and then invite everyone to discuss the reading. Unlike Scripture study programs that cover the scholarship and formal theology of Scripture, the aim of this new program is to bring Scripture home to us as individuals attempting to live our lives in the light of the Old and New Testament readings we hear at Sunday Mass. Join our last discussion, with Jonathan Lunine, on Sunday, November 21, at 11:15 a.m. by following this link: https://ithaca.zoom.us/j/95814977418?pwd=RG8vNnAvWEUrRzNhYmV1RXE1T1Urdz09.
