Councils and Committees

Our councils and committees help operate our parish. Membership in these groups is based on a selection process. For more information about any of these councils or committees, please contact the Parish Office at 607-257-2493 or [email protected].

Pastoral Council
The Pastoral Council is a leadership group that works in consulataion with the pastor to select and guide parish goals and objectives. Members are elected by the parish.

Finance Council
The Finance Council is a leadership group that advises the pastor on financial issues related to the parish, including the annual budget and hiring.

Liturgy Committee
The Liturgy Committee works with the pastor and director of liturgical music to determine seasonal themes, assist in planning liturgical celebrations, and invite parishioners to participate in liturgy.

Youth Ministry Advisory Board
The Youth Ministry Advisory Board works with the Coordinator of Faith Formation to set the direction for youth ministry at St. Catherine's. The board is made up of youth and adults.

Buildings and Grounds Committee
The Buildings and Grounds Committee works with the pastor, director of finance, and maintenance technician on needs and recommendations for the buildings and grounds of the parish.

Facilities Project Steering Committee
The Facilities Project Steering Committee works with the pastor on the plans, construction, and maintenance of the new Parish Center.
