Teenagers and adults who are interested in becoming Catholic, or completing their initiation into the Catholic faith, are invited to participate in the R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) process.
This process begins in September and ends at the Easter Vigil, when our candidates and catechumens receive the Sacraments and are joyfully welcomed into the Church. The process invites the individuals to learn about the Catholic faith, deepen their relationship with God, and grow in community through biweekly meetings, retreats, and faith sharing.
Candidates and catechumens are joined by a team of volunteers who meet with them and help to teach Catholic traditions and doctrine. Each candidate or catechumen also has a sponsor to attend meetings with them and offer friendship and support.
If you are interested in becoming Catholic, or if you would like to volunteer to be on the R.C.I.A. team or to be an R.C.I.A. sponsor, please contact the Parish Office at [email protected] or 257-2493.
