Teenagers and adults who are interested in becoming Catholic, or completing the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation), are invited to participate in the R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) process.
This process begins in September and ends at the Easter Vigil, when our candidates and catechumens receive the Sacraments and are joyfully welcomed into the Church. The process invites the individuals to learn about the Catholic faith, deepen their relationship with God, and grow in community through meetings, retreats, and faith sharing.
People involved in R.C.I.A. are joined by a personal sponsor and a team of volunteers who meet with them and help to teach Catholic traditions and doctrine.
In 2023–2024, our R.C.I.A. program will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6–7:30 p.m. in the Parish Center conference room beginning September 19. The group is led by Deacon Phil Kehoe, James Shealy, and Elizabeth (Betsy) Root.
If you are interested in becoming Catholic, or if you would like to volunteer to be on the R.C.I.A. team or to be an R.C.I.A. sponsor, please contact the Parish Office at 257-2493 or [email protected].
