St. Catherine's Centering Prayer Group

  • 4th Thursday of each month, 7:00-8:30 pm in the Parish Center chapel and lounge for prayer and a meeting.
  • 2nd Tuesday of each month, 4:15-4:45 pm for prayer in the Parish Center chapel.

Centering Prayer is a spiritual practice of our Catholic contemplative tradition that opens us more deeply to a relationship with God in faith and intimacy. "There is a difference between being and doing. Once one's being is transformed in Christ, all one's doing becomes anointed with the interior transformation of one's being... This is the kind of transformation contemplative prayer tends to produce" (from Fr. Thomas Keating, Journey to the Center). All are welcome; no special past experience is necessary.
