St. Catherine of Siena Parish

Building Our Future Campaign

We successfully completed the pledge solicitation phase of the campaign by exceeding our goal. We have been inspired by our collective community effort to restore our beautiful church and make our church and parish center safe, healthy spaces in which to worship and work.

Yet our work is not done. We must collect the funds pledged and complete the five critical projects. For parishioners already participating in the campaign, you can remain engaged as follows.

  • continue your involvement in the discussions about the facilities through opportunities that are announced in the bulletin or by email
  • fulfill your pledge before December 2012
  • join in any fundraising or parish activities over the next three years

If you are a new parishioner, you too may be part of the excitement.

  • consider making and fulfilling a pledge before December 2012
  • join in any fundraising or parish activities over the next three years
  • propose a new parish activity that you are willing to guide

Please contact Sr Mary, Matt Cooney or Susan Piliero for more information or ideas.

Campaign Announcement Letter from Sr. Mary

I hope you are inspired by the goal of our "Building our Future" campaign to restore our beautiful church and make both our church and parish center safe, healthy spaces in which to worship and work. I pray that you will answer the call to participate in this capital campaign challenge, and that God will stir the hearts of our parishioners as never before. Like the African proverb, "it takes a village to raise a child," so, too, "it takes a community" to ensure that we reach the goal of our campaign.

All of the prayers and planning of the last three years come down to our upcoming Commitment Weekend, October 31 - November 1. You've been a part of the conversation for months now. Perhaps you have come to parish facilities' forums, shared your thoughts and ideas, and studied the ongoing reports. We are grateful for your participation and input which have led us to this unique moment in our history. I hope you have prayed about how God might work through you. I hope you have talked with your family or friends about this opportunity to give and to make a difference. At the end of this process, each of us will make a decision about our financial participation.

On Commitment Weekend, the community of St. Catherine of Siena will celebrate its progress. I encourage you to prayerfully fill out your commitment card and bring it with you to Mass. We will offer our commitments together in an act of worship and praise.

I look forward to what God will do through each of us . . . and through all of us.

In Christ,

-- Sr. Mary O'Brien, CSJ, Pastoral Administrator
